The Eurovision Song Contest 2017 kicked off in style tonight, and we have our first ten qualifiers for the final!

This evening saw a huge range of different music genres throughout; from retro Portuguese ballads to neon Latvian rock, we saw performances of all kinds tonight at the International Exhibition Centre!

Opening the show this evening was Monatik with his song Spinning, followed by the interval act with Jamala performing her songs 1944 and Zamanyly.

The results of tonight’s semi-final were decided by a combination of national jury from each of tonight’s competing countries along with a public vote.

The 10 qualifiers from tonight’s show were announced in random order:

• Moldova
• Azerbaijan
• Greece
• Sweden
• Portugal
• Poland
• Armenia
• Australia
• Cyprus
• Belgium

Reactions from tonight’s qualifiers

Tonight’s results will shortly be followed by a press conference in which this evening’s 10 qualifiers will be interviewed, soon to be followed by the allocation draw for each qualifier which will determine which half of the final each country will perform in.

Once the contest has finished and the winner has been decided, the final finishing places of each act will be released including a full breakdown of the semi-final votes.

The final running order will be decided later this week once all twenty qualifiers are known.
