Rehearsals are now well and truly underway in the city of Tel Aviv, which will be hosting this year’s Eurovision Song Contest. Today sees the first day of rehearsals, with the first half of the first semi-final evening taking to the impressive stage of Expo Tel Aviv.

Eight countries are all set to make their debut onstage, 9 days before the live show of the first semi-final. Following their rehearsal, a Meet & Greet session will be coming next. These countries are Belgium, GeorgiaAustralia, Iceland, Estonia, Portugal, Greece and San Marino.

Portugal continues the second day of rehearsals with their entrant Conan Osiris, who seems to be one of the most memorable stage performances of the year.

Conan remains true his bizarre and artistic look, as he wears a bright satin green kimono, with tiered sleeves and shoulders, a pleated skirt, and matching satin trousers. He looks reminiscent of the Chinese terracotta army statues. Conan finishes his fashion statement with a chin strap like the one he wore in Festival da Cancao, only this one is black with blue and green highlights.

Conan’s dancer is shirtless, but also wears a pleated kilt and satin trousers in the same colour as the singer. The dancer also wears long green satin gloves, and these type of long gloves are emerging as the accessory of choice for the 2019 song contest.
