Melodifestivalen 2013, the Swedish national selection for the act that will represent the country to the 58th Eurovision Song Contests, kicks off this  Saturday.

The rehearsals of the first heat that is taking place in Kalrskrona are in full swing and SVT, the Swedish Public Broadcaster,  is publishing an one-minute snippet from the rehearsal of each one of the first 8 competing songs, as it is concluded.

The songs that are competing at the first heat of this year’s Melodifestivalen are:

2. Cookies N Beans – Burning Flags
3. Jay-Jay Johanson – Paris
4. Mary N’diaye – Gosa
5. Eric Gadd – Vi kommer aldrig att förlora
6. YOHIO – Heartbreak Hotel
7. Anna Jarvinen – Porslin
8. Michael Feiner & Caisa – We’re Still Kids
