Pastora Soler the 2012 Spanish Eurovision representative  has been awarded with the Portada El Distrito Award in recognition to her contribution to the Spanish musical industry with her music and songs.  The awards ceremony will be held in Madrid on the 6th of June in Madrid.  Her 2012 Eurovision participation has also been taken into consideration.

Pastora has received a lot of good reviews after her Eurovision performance last Saturday in Baku. Pastora Soler achieved a 10th placing at the 2012 Eurovision Song Contest in Baku, Spain’s best placing at the Eurovision Song Contest since 2004.  Both Pastora’s fans and the Spanish media are very proud of her performance and results, eventhough they were expecting a higher placing in Baku.  The Spanish representative was welcomed back to Madrid on her return from Azerbaijan amid cheers and chanting from her fans.
