Although it is still un certain whether Lithuania will take part in the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest after all, Lietuvos Dainu Daina, the show originally planned to choose the country's next representative at the contest, will take place starting tonight.

The show

The show starts at 20.00 CET. Twelve songs will compete in this first of three quarter finals. Four to six songs will then qualify to the two semis voted by the public. The rest of the quarter finals will take place on 17th & 24th January and the two semi-finals on January 31st & February 7th.
