Brandsta City Släckers, the fireman uniform-clad band from Sweden, have entered several songs for Melodifestivalen 2007, according to Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet.

If voted through by the preliminary panel, it will Brandsta City Släckers' third attempt to represent Sweden. In 2002 they came closest, scoring a hit with televoters but losing out to Afrodite on the jury vote, ending up in fifth place. The following year saw them remain in the semifinals, whilst frontman Glenn Borgkvist also made an appearance in the fourth Melodifestivalen semifinal of 2004, singing Boom-bang-a-bang with Lotta Nilsson.

More news is bound to surface surrounding big name participants over the next few weeks – stay tuned for what are bound to be both disappointments and surprises for fans of Swedish selections!
