Villaine, a 27 years old female singer from Cologne, is rumoured to be one of the twelve participants in this year's German final, according to tabloid paper Bild. The singer is openly lesbian and performed the offical song of the Gay Pride Parade 2004 in Cologne.

“It would be a great honour to sing for Germany”, Villaine said to Bild. “There is no rule saying this is for heterosexuals only”. According to the tabloid, the German final will see 12 participants, announced by 12 well-known godfathers. Non other possilbe participant's names were mentioned. There are a lot of rumours going around in German Eurovision fan boards right now, but German broadcaster NDR said not to give any comments before they have finalized their plans, probably end of January.

The German final will take place 12 March 2005. As part of the Big Four and because of Max securing an 8th place for Germany in 2004, the country is directly qualified for the final in Kiev.
