Maria Ólafsdóttir

Lítil skref

Twenty-one year old Maria will be performing Lítil skref, a Eurovision song written by the Reykjavik based StopWaitGo team of Ásgeir Orri Ásgeirsson, Pálmi Ragnar Ásgeirsson and Sæþór Kristjánsson.

The StopWaitGo team composed last year’s Söngvakeppnin entry Dönsum burtu blús by Sverrir Bergmann, which achieved a semi-final placing in a competition won by Pollapönk’s No prejudice.

The team is also behind Í Síðasta Skipti , which Friðrik Dór is hoping will secure him the golden ticket to Vienna 2015.

The talented Maria, who has years of musical theatre experience as well as previous collaborations with StopWaitGo, will be making her Söngvakeppnin debut.

Hello my name is Daniel Doyle. I am 19 years old and I live in Rushden, United Kingdom. My first Eurovision was in 2004 where I was given permission by my parents to stay up late to watch the contest. Since then I have been a hardcore fan. The first Eurovision I went to was in 2010 and I hope to go to more in the near future.
