The Israeli Eurovision Song Contest participants, Teapacks, spoke to esctoday.com after their first rehearsal and press conference. Amongst the topics discussed, we asked them about the controversy that the song caused, the potential of having neighbours in the competition (Palestine and Lebanon) and about how the Eurovision Song Contest is seen in Israel today.

You can watch the Israeli photo gallery here.

Teapacks are keen to show that although their song has a serious message, they want to put their point across with fun. They are not shy to duck the political issues and would welcome the entry of Palestine and Lebanon to the Eurovision Song Contest.

The lead singer also discusses the position in the draw and his fears that the audience might fall asleep soon after the Israeli song. They talk about the history of Israel at Eurovision and much more in the esctoday.com interview.
