As a side note with Carola cornering the market in wind machines many imitators flooded the market. One such pretender to the throne was a young lady called Madonna Ciccone, who inspired by Carola’s success at the 1991 contest due to her use of a wind machine, girdled her loins, tightened her bra straps and took things a step further by copying our Swedish heroine at the 1994 Brit Awards with her performance of Bedtime Story. We hope Carola got royalties!!
