Danish Broadcasting Corporation, next year’s host broadcaster, has appointed Kamilla Monies as Head of Production of the Eurovision Song Contest 2014.

Kamilla Monies is, without doubt, one of the most experienced producers in Denmark. With over 25 years on the business she currently is the Head of Production at Nordisk Film TV and as part of the team behind the Danish X- Factor she was in charge of the most technically advanced shows in Denmark’s history: the 2010 and 2011 finals live from the Parken Stadium.

With such an extensive resume, it was no surprise to anyone that she has been chosen to join the Eurovision family and be responsible for the technical production of the three shows next year. Monies will thus take a break from her current position on Nordisk Film TV.

Pernille Gaardbo, Executive Producer of next’s years contest, said to be pleased of having Kamilla on board as they need to find a production leader that has experience with the biggest shows. She, along with Per Zachariassen (Senior Producer) and Jan Lundme (Head of Show) represents an extremely strong team at the largest events and I am very much looking forward to working together.

The Eurovision Song Contest 2014 will be held on 6, 8 and 10 May somewhere in Denmark. According to the EBU, the host city and venue will be announced in early autumn.
