The Latvian delegation, on behalf of LTV, passed on a symbolic baton to this year’s organizers TRT on May 9th at the start of the Eurovision period: a piece of the glass floor from 2003.

The head of the Latvian delegation, Ms. Iveta Lepsoko, passed on the piece of glass stage to TRT, in the hope that this will now become a Eurovision tradition. 2003 was the first time the LED floor had been used for the contest and is a prominent part of the 2004 stage design aswell.

Ms Eliza Migrave, manager of Latvian entrants Fomins and Kleins, thanked the Turkish for their hospitality and invited everyone to join in the Eurovision entry Dzeisma par laimi in both Latvian and Turkish. Sertab was also presented with a photo album of the 2003 contest.
