The Ukrainian broadcaster NTU is currently working on selecting their representative for the Eurovision Song Contest 2004. Just like last year the selection will be internal.

Last year, the Ukraine made its Eurovision debut with the song Hasta la vista, sung by Olexandr Ponomaryov. He finished 14th with 30 points, so the Ukraine will have to compete in the qualification round on 12th May.

Yuriy Melnyk, spokesperson of NTU, said the following about their song for 2004 to our colleagues of DotEurovision.com: “If you give it another week, I'll be ready to tell you precisely the name of our artist and related information. Right now we are in the process of negotiating the deal, but we don’t expect it to take too much longer”.
