The Belgian Dutch-language broadcaster VRT has announced the return as commentators of the same tandem that guided the audience through all the shows of last year’s Eurovision Song Contest.

This year, Peter van de Veire and Eva Daeleman will again be in charge of the comments for all the shows of this year’s Eurovision Song Contest for the Belgian Dutch-language channel één, as confirmed by Eva herself to the Belgian radio station MNM.

The choice of the audience

VRT is also preparing a special show for this year: on the dates of the three Eurovision competitions Peter van de Veire will present, too, the Eurovisiesongfestival Top 25, a look back on the viewers’ 25 favorite Eurovision entries.

On Tuesday 19 May the songs that achieved the 25th to 16th positions will be revealed. The night of the second semi-final will be the time to known the 15th to 6th entries. The top 5 Eurovision songs will be known on the night of the Grand Final.

The viewers can make their choice among the Eurovision entries in the één website. The voting will be open until 15 April in the evening.

The Eurovisiesongfestival Top 25 specials will begin on the Eurovision days (19, 21, and 23 May) at 20:40 CET and will finish at 21:00 CET, before each of the Eurovision Song Contest galas, broadcast by één.

RTBF went for an internal selection this year, which resulted in the young Loïc Nottet being the Belgian representative with the song Rhythm inside.
