Gracia's Run & hide, the song which secured a last place for Germany at this year's Eurovision Song Contest, will keep being banned from the official singles charts in Germany, as the Berlin district court adjucated today.

Run & hide, together with five other singles and albums from David Brandes' record company Bros Records, was banned by the compilers of the German charts, Media Control, when it became public that Gracia's producer David Brandes has tried to manipulate the charts by buying the records himself. In a tv show, Brandes admitted to have bought 2.000 copies of Run & hide to secure Gracia a chart position.

Brandes filed a lawsuit against Media Control, but failed today. In court, the man who also wrote this year's Swiss Eurovision entry Cool Vibes, repeated his claims that such manipulations would be costumary in the music business. “I can name 30 other examples”, Brandes said to the judge, showing a huge pile of paper handed to him by Gracia. Brandes' lawyer claimed that his client has lost “several hundred thousand Euro” because of the ban.

Gracia kept her loyality towards Brandes. “He never did something in bad faith”, she said. “Of course, all of this is not fair for me. It was not me, after all”. Bros Music releases will stay banned from the German charts until 21 July after today's mandate. Meanwhile, Gracia's single Run & hide ranks below 2.000 in the Amazon.de sales chart…
