The 2004 Olympics in Athens are nearing! On Thursday 5th August, German broadcaster ARD and Greek broadcaster ERT will emit ARD-Olympia-Show, hosted by Vicky Leandros. Sakis Rouvas will be one of the guest stars at the Olympeion in Athens.

On Thursday 5th August, Vicky Leandros will host ARD-Olympia-Show, recorded from the Olympeion in Athens, the largest temple in Greece, dedicated to the god Zeus. The show will be broadcast live by ARD in Germany as well as by ERT in Greece. Greek singer Vicky Leandros won the 1972 Eurovision Song Contest for Luxembourg with the song Après toi. Her co-host for the show will be Alexis Kostallas.

During the show, all aspects of Greece will be presented. German broadcaster ARD invited international stars, members of the Olympic movement, Greek artists and not in Greece living Greeks for a chat.Yiannis Kotsiras will present the official Olympia hymne Pass the flame for the first time.

Furthermore the biggest Greek artists will perform on stage. One of them will be Sakis Rouvas, this year's Greek Eurovision Song Contest representative. To end the show, all stars of the show will sing Irini by Mikis Theodorakis, together with a big choir.

ARD-Olympia-Show will be broadcast on ARD and ERT on 5th August from 21.00 till 22.30 CET.
