On Sunday evening, the second heat of the 2004 Slovenian preselection EMA 04 will be broadcast live from the studios of RTVSLO. Three songs receiving the biggest amount of votes in televoting will join the six songs that have been selected in the two previous heats. The show will be once again hosted by Bernarda arn and Peter Poles (pictured).

Competing in the third semifinal are: (music/ lyrics/ arrangement)
1. Panda feat. Trkaj- Tvoj svet/ Your world (Andej Pompe/ Suzana Jeklic, Trkaj/ Panda)

8. Damijana Godnič- Moja moč/ My strength (Igor Potočnik/ Jurko Starc/ Igor Potočnik)

This semifinal does not feature an immediate favourite. Most of them are known names, but none of them have been favourites with the televoting public before. All songs have been previewed on Val 202, which is the second channel of the national radio. Panda present a light hip-hop/ pop song, spiced up by the rapper Trkaj, a known name on the Slovenian rap/ hip-hop scene. Polona's ballad is mainly instrumental with sort of a Lord of the Rings theme. Prava stvar might get to the final if the voters recall their fabulous hit from a few months ago V tebi iskal sem (I searched for something in you). Victory sing a song by the team that brought us Nanana last year. Karmen Stavec wrote the lyrics to this midtempo pop song.

The song by Alya is a decent pop/rock song, though somehow radio friendlier than her last year's Exploziv(no). The producer are Pak's previous work features the biggest name in Slovenian music at the moment- rock band Siddharta. Jazz singer Kristina Oberan introduces a song that follows the tradition of Slovenian pop music from the 60s and 70s. Equally unpretentious and most likely to be overlooked is the last song in this semifinal, sung by Damijana Godnič.

The songs will be previewed on radio again tomorrow. Radio Koper-Capodistria will play them on Saturday at 11:00 CET with Radio Maribor following on the same day between 1930 and 2200 CET.
