The Israeli national broadcaster, IBA, has announced details of how to submit songs to be selected for Boaz Mauda to sing in the national final, Kdam. The competition is open to any Israeli citizen. The entry procedure is a little unusual and the deadline has been set for 6th January 2008.

Any Israeli citizen can enter a completed song, but it must be submitted by either the lyricist, composer or producer. A sample of the song must also be produced, providing a clear reflection of the song. Songs must be submitted only be CD or DVD.

The song must conform to all Eurovision Song Contest rules, i.e. a maximum three minutes in length, never played or released in public prior to 1st October 2007 and must be an original work. At least 50% of the lyrics must be in Hebrew. Anyone wished to submit a song will need to visit the eurovil.iba.org website, download the rules and conditions, and print of the submission form at the end.

All parties involved in the song's production must sign the entry papers. A special committee will choose the best five songs out of all the songs which have be submitted. The results will be published in the Israeli media. Boaz Mauda will perform the songs in the Kdam show, expected to be in February.
