The Greenroom Christmas Special!

Another Christmas, another new year, and another contest, the 50th! Esctoday.com recently launched its new look for the 2005 season with great new features such as profiles, an improved forum and a new round of Eurostoq! The Greenroom has been fairly quiet during the off season period. However its all starting up again and already one nation has selected their entry! In the new year, as more entries are chosen The Greenroom will begin fortnightly, and then weekly during the spring as all the action begins to hot up! Until then heres a Christmas special to keep you going.

Little Latino Diva María Isabel from Spain whipped up the title of the second Junior Eurovision winner with what I perceived as probably the one and only good entry in this years Junior Eurovision Song Contest, Antes muerta que sencilla. The general standard of entries has got slightly better from last year, with Anne from Denmark being the only saving grace for me last year. Whether Junior Eurovision is a worth while event, I am still undecided. The Junior Eurovision Song Contest does seem to bare some parallels with the adult contest. An entry that was up-tempo, with visual impact and was ethnically inspired, not forgetting the all important gimmick fans!
