Life is busy for Italy’s 21-year-old 2016 Eurovision Song Contest representative, Francesca Michielin as she prepares for the Stockholm stage.
The No degree of separation singer visited the city of London last weekend, where she made many happy memories with her fellow competitors and won plaudits for her powerful performance.

Last week (Friday 15 April) also saw Francesca feature in a special episode of Radio Italia Live. Streamed worldwide, fans took to Twitter to discuss the show using the hashtag “#MichielinRadioItaliaLive”.
The young star spoke to Daniel Bossari about her latest album di20are, which was released in October 2015. Francesca also revealed her passion for the iconography and symbols in her CD covers and album inserts. The interview continued with Francesca speaking of her desire to grow as an artist, and of her responsibility as Italy’s 2016 Eurovision Song Contest representative.

With a second placing at Italy’s illustrious Sanremo Music Festival in February, Francesca Michielin secured the golden ticket to the 2016 Eurovision Song Contest at the Globen Arena in Stockholm, Sweden. As a “Big Five” country, Italy automatically qualifies to the Grand Final of the Contest on Saturday 14 May 2016. The official video for the song (in its Sanremo form Nessun grado di separazione) has already accumulated a staggering number of YouTube views, with the figure rising all the time.
