FYR Macedonia’s representative at the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest, Jana Burčeska, has given birth to a healthy baby daughter!

Jana Burčeska represented FYR Macedonia at Eurovision Song Contest 2017 and, although she didn’t make the final, she caused a stir twice during her semi-final.

During her postcard, it was revealed that she was expecting a baby. The film showed Jana having a ultrasound scan, giving the whole of Europe a glimpse of the tiny baby, and also showed her shopping for baby clothes, in case there was any uncertainty!

Later on, in a green room interview, Jana’s long-term boyfriend, Alexander (and father of the baby), proposed to her.

Although she didn’t make the final, she gained more international attention than any other recent Macedonian entrant.

Following her participation at Eurovision, Jana married in August and campaigned for Unicef MK for “childhood without obstacles”.

Her baby girl, whom she has called Dona, was born on 11 October, with Jana’s father breaking the news that he was now a grandfather.
