Regína Ósk

Aldrei of seint

Regína Ósk (born Regína Ósk Óskarsdóttir) is most certainly no stranger to Eurovision, having represented Iceland at the Contest of 2008 as a member of Euroband. Euroband, who comprised of Regína and Friðrik Ómar, stormed the stage in Belgrade, Serbia with their high-energy dance anthem This is my life. They qualified from the semi-final to achieve a fourteenth place finish at the Grand Final with a total of sixty-four points.

Regína has also participated as a backing vocalist for the Icelandic Eurovision Song Contest entries of 2001 (Two tricky, Angel), 2003 (Birgitta Haukdal, Open your heart) and 2005 (Selma, If I had your love).

Regína most recently entered Iceland’s national Eurovision selection process in 2012, reaching the Söngvakeppnin final with her entry Hjartað brennur, in a competition won by Gréta Salóme and Jónsi’s Mundu eftir mír  with Never forget.

Aldrei of seint is written by María Björk Sverrisdóttir, Marcus Frenell, Sarah Reeve and Regína herself, and will contest the second semi-final on 13th February.

Hello my name is Daniel Doyle. I am 19 years old and I live in Rushden, United Kingdom. My first Eurovision was in 2004 where I was given permission by my parents to stay up late to watch the contest. Since then I have been a hardcore fan. The first Eurovision I went to was in 2010 and I hope to go to more in the near future.
