Following yesterday’s special behind the scenes videos, RTP has released a fresh video showcasing the 2018 Eurovision Script Team.
The 2018 Eurovision Script Team consists of three talented professionals:
- Nuno Galopim is the Creative Supervisor of this year’s Eurovision Song Contest.
- Lucy Pepper will be resposible to check that the script is written in proper English. The four gorgeous Eurovision hosts will be reading the script during the live shows.
- Pedro Miguel Ribeiro gives will add an informal and humoristic touch to the script. The best ingredients to make this edition of ESC the best of all time!
RTP’s Joana Martins meets up with the ESC 2018 Script Team and has a chat with them regarding the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest preparations. The trio have been working hard in coming up with a witty, fun loving, entertaining and humorous script for the upcoming contest. The main idea is to gear up a script that will appeal to the wide international audience as the contest today reaches households far and away!
Pedro Miguel Ribeiro revealed that he has been reviewing the previous Eurovision editions, namely since 2013 in order to get inspired and get the feeling of the competition. He has been checking out the hosts and the roles they played in their respective contests.
Today the Eurovision hosts play a more important and pivotal role in the contest in comparison to previous editions a decade ago.
Nuno Galopim commented that the script is based on an initial draft which is constantly undergoing revisions, changes and being adapted to the hostesses. He said that today the contest is also broadcast in countries and continents that do not participate in the contest and the event wil be watched by a wide global audience.
The 2018 Eurovision Song Contest is scheduled to be held on 8, 10 and 12 May in the Altice Arena in Lisbon.
