No stranger to the Eurovision world, Luminiţa Anghel is back after 10 years from Kyiv 2005. At the 50th Eurovision Song Contest, Luminiţa (along with the band Sistem) represented Romania with the song  Let me try. Winning the semi-final, Luminiţa went on to achieved 3rd place in the final. Along with 2010, this is one of Romania’s best result in the contest.

Since 2005, Luminiţa has tried multiple times to represent Romania again but was never chosen. In 2010, Luminiţa entered the Romanian national final finishing 2nd. The song was called Save their lives and Luminiţa performed this entry along with Tony Tomas & Adrian Piper . 3 years later she tried again with the song Unique but was only able to achieve 3rd place.

As well as her Eurovision involvement, Luminiţa is also a well known TV presenter and is married to Silviu Dumitriade.
