Conchita Wurst is to make her movie debut this weekend when the Penguins of Madagascar opens in Austrian cinemas.
The Dreamworks’ animated film, the 4th in the Madagascar series, will feature the singer in the role of Eva, a snowy owl with a Russian accent who works as part of a spy agency called North Wind. In the English-language version of the film, the role is voiced by Russian-Indian actress Annet Mahendru.
This is a snowy owl who cannot be fazed, Conchita told journalists about the character.
Frustratingly for her fans, Conchita has also confirmed her debut album will not be released until spring, despite hopes it would be ready before Christmas.
