BTRC,the Belarusian national broadcaster has announced today that Alyona Lanskaya, the 2013 Eurovision Belarusian representative will be joining the special jury that will evaluate and deliberate the songs that will compete in the 2014 Belarusian national final, scheduled to be held in Minsk next January.

Artists wishing to submit their entries to BTRC, the Belarusian national broadcaster can do until November 24. On 29 November a special jury consisting of  Alyona Lanskaya,Vasily Rainchik, Alexander Tikhanovich and Alexander Mezhenny will evaluate all the submitted entries and select the lucky 15 acts that will fight for the golden ticket to Copenhagen in the 2014 Belarusian national final. The 2014 Belarusian national final will be held in January, the date is yet to be confirmed.

Belarus debuted at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2004 and is yet to win the event. The country’s best result in the contest was in 2007 with Koldun‘s Work your magic, when Belarus placed 6th.

Alyona Lanskaya represented Belarus at the 2013 Eurovision Song Contest with Solayoh achieving a 16th place in the grand final.
