TVE, the national Spanish broadcaster held a special press conference today at the headquarters in Torrespaña, Madrid in order to officially present the 2013 Spanish Eurovision representatives, El Sueño de Morfeo, to the Spanish press and media.
The broadcaster has revealed further details regarding the 2013 Spanish Eurovision song selection. A total of 4 songs will compete in the 2013 Spanish Eurovision song selection. The 4 competing entries are scheduled to be released on TVE’s official website early next year. The 2013 Spanish Eurovision entry will be selected via a jury/televoting deliberation in a special televised show aired on TVE early next year.
El Sueño de Morfeo have revealed that they already have 3 songs ready for their Eurovision song selection show. During the press conference the Spanish representatives revealed that they are currently very busy composing songs for the contest and expect to have the 4th song ready by the end of January / early February. They are planning to submit a total of 4-5 entries to TVE for the song selection. El Sueño de Morfeo disclosed to the press that their songs will be 100 % Morfeo style and will have a Celtic influence.
The band is planning to meet up with the 2012 Spanish representative Pastora Soler in order to exchange ideas and learn about Pastora’s experience in Baku. Raquel, Juan and David are very happy and honoured to represent Spain at the forthcoming Eurovision Song Contest in Sweden next May. During the press conference they expressed their excitement and revealed that they will work very hard in order to showcase their best on stage in Malmö.
