After a turbulent couple of years, Lordi, the Finnish hard rock band who won the 2006 Eurovision Song Contest, are off to a fresh start with two new band members, a spring album release and a European tour in 2013.

It’s been a rough ride for the masked monsters from Finland for the past two years. The band’s drummer, Kita, left the band in October 2010 and Tonmi Lillman aka Otus, the man who replaced him died two years later at the age of 38. The next blow came when Lady Awa, the band’s keyboard player left the band in July 2012.

It has now been announced that Mana and Hella will be replacing former drummer Otus and Lady Awa respectively. The band is currently working on their next album, To Beast or not to Beast, scheduled to be released in Finland on March 8, 2013 by Sony Music. “The road to this album has truly been paved by hardships,” Mr. Lordi says. “However, the new line-up of the band has given us new and fresh touch and an energetic edge to the recording process, and to the album itself.”

Seventeen venues have been already confirmed for Lordi’s 2013 European tour. So far the band is planning to play in Germany, Italy and Spain. Updated tour info can be found here.
