The Next Star 2019 is steadily heading to a climax, a new music star rising and ready to follow in the victorious footsteps of Netta Barzilai. After many thrilling shows, which started back in November 2018 with the audition rounds, HaKokhav HaBa L’Eurovizion (The Next Star For Eurovision) is coming to an end, leading up to the winner who will represent Israel on home soil in Tel Aviv!

Broadcasters IPBC and Keshet along with Tedy Productions are sure to present a spectacular final, expertly hosted by Assi Azar and Rotem Sela.

Four lucky finalists will take to the stage, competing for the victory and the honour of representing their home country.

The finalists

  • Maya Buskila
  • Ketreyah Fouch
  • Kobi Marimi
  • Shefita (Rotem Shefy)

The voting process

A professional jury consisting of Shiri Maimon (Israel 2005), Harel Skaat (Israel 2010), Keren Peles, Assaf Amdursky and Static & Ben El Tavori had their say in the previous rounds of The Next Star 2019.

However, during tonight’s Grand Final the public will choose their next star and Eurovision 2019 representative. Thus, the winner will be chosen solely by televoting.

The song

Tonight a winner will be crowned, yet a song will be chosen separately at a later date. Broadcaster KAN will deliver three television shows in which the ultimate song to match The Next Star‘s victor will be determined.
