Moving on to the second entry of Finland’s upcoming national final for the Eurovision Song Contest: this evening, Saara Aalto – the country’s next representative – unveiled the second entry for UMK18, entitled Domino.

Following last week’s official presentation of the first song entry for Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu (UMK), Finland’s returning national final for the Eurovision Song Contest, this evening sees the second song revelations for the country’s competition.

Entitled Domino, the song is Saara Aalto’s second bidding entry in UMK18, set to take place next month.

About Domino

Domino, the second UMK18 song entry, is yet another song set to feature in Aalto’s debut international album, ready to be released later in the year.

The song itself was written by Aalto alongside Bobby Ljunggren, Johnny Sanchez, Will Taylor and 13-time Eurovision songwriter, Thomas G:son.

G:son is most known within the Eurovision community for his winning song for Sweden in 2012, Euphoria, performed in the host city of Baku by Loreen.

Ljunggren is also no stranger to Eurovision, having composed a total of 6 former entries from 1995 onwards.

With 2 song entries now known in Finland, only 1 song announcement remains! The final competing UMK18 entry is to be unveiled next Friday evening at midnight Finnish time.

UMK18 will take place next month on the 3 March, in which 1 of the 3 bidding entries will be selected as Finland’s official song entry for the 2018 Eurovision Song Contest.
