The 2018 Moldovan national selection is getting closer and closer and TRM has now determined the running order

16 finalists will take part in this year’s Moldovan national final, all of them selected a rolled up number to determine in which position each one of are to perform, here are the finalists in the official running order:

3. Bella Luna – Moments
4. Anna Timofei – Endlessly
5. Ilia Soroceanu & Dasha DaGro – Minds & Veins
6. Che MD – Inima-n stângă
7. Cobîlean Constantin – Numai tu
8. DoReDos – My lucky day
9. SandyC & Aaron Sibley – Once upon a time
10. Anna Odobescu – Agony
11. Nicoleta Sava – Esencia del Sur
12. Doinița Gherman – Dance in flames
13. Felicica Dunaf – Alien
14. Viorela – The gates of love
15. Vera Țurcanu – Black Heart
16. Ruslan Tsar – Come to life

Originally there was suppose to be a semi-final on the 22nd of February, instead a jury has preselected the 16 finalists, Nelly Ciobanu who represented Moldova in Moscow in 2009 was part of the jury. The semi-final has been cancelled for unspecified reasons. The final of Ô Melodie Pentru Europa 2018 will take place in Chisinau on the 24th of February.

Moldova in Eurovision

The small nation has participated every single year since their debut back in 2005 with Zdob și Zdub and their song Bunica Bate Toba in Kyiv, the country’s best result in the competition was achieved last year in Kyiv when SunStroke Project and their song Hey Mama finishing 3rd.
