San Marino is once again opening its doors to international music talent as submissions are officially open for the new edition of the Dreaming San Marino Song Contest. This competition serves as the preliminary stage for the nation’s selection process for the Eurovision Song Contest 2027.
Dreaming San Marino Song Contest: Your Road to Eurovision 2027
San Marino RTV, the Sammarinese national broadcaster, in collaboration with Media Evolution Srl and the Secretariat of State for Tourism, has launched the Dreaming San Marino Song Contest 2026-2027. This initiative is designed to discover, support, and promote both emerging and established artists from San Marino and around the world, offering them a professional pathway that combines selection, training, and live performances.
Artists, both soloists and groups, can submit their applications through the official website: www.dreamingsanmarinosongcontest.com. The initial phase involves a free online eligibility check, where the interpretive and executive skills of applicants will be assessed. Successful candidates will then proceed to in-person castings.
The first confirmed casting sessions are scheduled for 9 and 10 October 2026, followed by 20 and 21 November 2026. The journey will continue with the ‘Stage & Live Academy’ phases, which are not only for selection but also for artistic development.
To be eligible, participants must be at least 16 years old by 30 September 2026. Submissions will remain open until 25 January 2027.

The Path to Eurovision 2027
The Dreaming San Marino Song Contest is the first phase of a multi-stage process. The subsequent phase, known as the ‘San Marino Song Contest’, will feature televised semi-finals and a Grand Final. The Grand Final of the San Marino Song Contest 2027 is provisionally scheduled for 6 March 2027.
The winner of the San Marino Song Contest, with their chosen song, will earn the prestigious honour of representing the Republic of San Marino at the Eurovision Song Contest 2027, which is set to take place in Bulgaria.
