Europe’s most popular national selection show, Melodifestivalen resumes on our screens tonight. This Saturday, it’s time for Malmö Arena to become home to the event, which sees a total of 7 acts compete.

How to watch

The show will be airing from 20:00 CET live on the following:

Hosting the show will again be David Lindgren and Fredrik Svensson.

Tonight’s acts

As announced by the national broadcaster SVT in November, Malmö’s 7 participating acts will be as follows:

  1. Martin Almgren –  A bitter lullaby
  2. Barbi Escobar – Stark
  3. Moncho – Cuba Libre
  4. Jessica Andersson – Party voice
  5. Kalle Moraeus & Orsa Spelmän – Min dröm
  6. Dotter – Cry
  7. Mendez – Everyday

Here you may listen to one-minute snippets of all competing songs, as released by SVT last Thursday.

The voting procedure of the semi-final is divided into two parts. As with every semi-final, the first part will determine the first 5 acts of the night and the last two will be eliminated. Following the second voting part, the first two songs will advance directly to Stockholm’s Grand Final on 10 March, whilst the 3rd and the 4th will proceed to Andra Chansen (Second Chance) round one week before, on 3 March, still in the hope of one place in the final.

A 100% televoting process will determine the outcome.
