NRK, the Norwegian national broadcaster has opened the submission period for the 2017 Norwegian Eurovision national final- MGP.

NRK confirmed Norway’s  Eurovision 2017 participation to ESCToday last month, now the broadcaster is all set to bring back the competition on Norwegian soil for the 4th time. Norway has kicked off preparations for Eurovision 2017 and its national final.

Both foreign and local composers are invited to partake in the competition. NRK has published the rules and regulations for the 2017 MGP Final. The submission period concludes on 11 September. A total of 10 acts will compete for the golden ticket to Ukraine. If you wish to compete in the Norwegian national final, you can send your application here.

Norway has won the Eurovision Song Contest thrice: in 1985 with Bobbysocks,in 1995 with Secret Garden and in 2009 with Alexander Rybak. In 2015 Agnete flew the Norwegian flag with Icebreaker, despite a mafnificent performance she failed to qualify to the grand final.
