Greece: ERT officially presents the 2017 Greek Eurovision Dream Team

ERT, the Greek national broadcaster held a special press conference today in order to officially present the 2017 Greek Eurovision Dream team to the assembled media and shed more light on the 2017 Greek Eurovision project and plans for Kyiv.

Dimitris Kontopolous, Fokas Evangelinos and Demy were all invited to attend and share their thoughts on their  forthcoming Eurovision participation. ERT selected Dimitris Kontopolous and Fokas Evangelinos internally to produce the 2017 Greek entry and they proposed Demy to represent Greece at the 2017 ESC.

Mr. Dionisis Tsaknis ( ERT President) and Mr. Lambis Tagmatarhis (ERT CEO) were also present during the press conference, they share their thoughts and shed more details on the 2017 Greek Eurovision project.

Demy is very happy and honoured to represent Greece at the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest.

Demy will present a total of 3 songs (all in English) during a national final scheduled to be held by early March where the 2017 Greek Eurovision entry will be determined by the Greek audience via telephone/internet voting.

Demy will be filming the videoclips of the 3 bidding entries in Greece and Ukraine in the coming weeks. The Greek audience will make their deliberation after watching the videos during the national final.

The expenses of the Greek delegation and team in Kyiv will be solely financed and covered by sponsors. Yiorgos Kapoutzidis and Maria Kozakou will be once again the Greek commentators at the upcoming Eurovision edition in Kyiv.

Mr. Panagiotis Tsolias has been appointed as the Head of Delegation for Greece at the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest.

The 2017 Eurovision Song Contest is scheduled to be held on 9, 11 and 13 May at the IEC in Kyiv.
