Greece: Demy will have 3 songs in NF: videoclips to be filmed in Ukraine

The young and beautiful 2017 Greek Eurovision representative Demy was interviewed today on ERT, the national Greek broadcaster where she shed more light on her forthcoming Eurovision participation, project and song selection.

Demy has been internally selected by ERT in order to represent Greece at the forthcoming 2017 Eurovision  Song Contest in Kyiv. She will be backed by the  Eurovision Dream TeamDimitris Kontopoulos and Fokas Evangelinos. Dimitris will will be behind the 2017 Greek Eurovision entry whilst Fokas will be resposible for the staging and choreography of the Greek performance in Kyiv.

The charming Greek star gave an interview today on ERT’s morning news where she revealed more details regarding her upcoming Eurovision preparations and song selection:

Demy is very happy and honored to represent Greece at the Eurovision Song Contest and is very pleased to work with Dimitris Kontopoulos and Fokas Evangelinos.

The 2017 Greek Eurovision Song Selection Show will be held by late February/ early March. Demy will be bidding with 3 songs in English (all composed and produced by Dimitris Kontopoulos): one ballad, one uptempo dance number and a suprise entry. 2 of the songs are already ready whilst the 3rd one is in the making!

Greek tv viewers will be responsible to deliberate and select the 2017 Greek Eurovision entry via an online and telephone voting.

Demy will be flying to Odessa, Ukraine along with her team in order to film the videoclips for her 3 songs, thus  building bridges between Greece and the 2017 ESC host country, Ukraine.

These videos will be shown to the Greek audience during the show, hereafter the viewers will be invited to vote for their favorite song. The song with the highest amount of votes will represent Greece at the 2017 ESC in Kyiv.

Greece debuted at the Eurovision Song Contest in 1974 and has won the event in 2005 with Helena Paparizou‘s My number one, thus bringing the contest for the very first time on Greek soil in 2006.

The 2017 Eurovision Song Contest is scheduled to be held on 9, 11 and 13 May at the IEC in Kyiv, Ukraine.
