Dear Jack
Il mondo esplode tranne noi
Dear Jack is an Italian pop-rock band formed in 2012. The group consists of five friends, Alessio Bernabei (vocals), Alessandro Presti (base guitar), Francesco Pierozzi (acoustic and electric guitar), Lorenzo Cantarini (electric guitar) and Riccardo Ruiu (drums). The band is named after the character Jack Skellington from Tim Burton’s movie A Nightmare Before Christmas.
The band rose to fame after participating in the 2014 edition of the Italian musical talent-show Amici di Maria De Filippi (Friends of Maria De Filippi). Dear Jack competed in Team Blue, under tutelage of Miguel Bose. They eventually reached the final, and achieved the second place, winning the Critics Prize.
Dear Jack will compete during the Sanremo Music Festival 2015 in the Campioni or big artists category, performing the song Il mondo esplode tranne noi (The World Explodes Without Us).
