The United Kingdom artists from the Eurovision Song Contests 2008 and 2009 were Andy Abraham and Jade Ewen.
Their results weren’t as close as the years in which they competed as Andy, singing Even if, ended up joint 25th (or last) place with 14 points while Jade, singing It’s my time, was at the other end of the scoreboard achieving 5th place with 173 points.
Well Andy and Jade are teaming up as he is to return to the cast of Godspell in Concert. Originally this came from a West End gala in 2014 and the first date for 2015 is at the Hackney Empire in London.
Theo Bosanquet in whatsonstage.com writes: Abraham, who plays Judas/John the Baptist, will be joined in the cast by former Sugababe Jade Ewen, whose previous stage credits include Rod Stewart musical Tonight’s The Night and Porgy and Bess at the Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre.
Russell Scott, who is the Musical Director, said of the tour: Since the West End gala, we have worked tirelessly to bring Godspell back to the UK and on tour for the first time in almost ten years in our new semi-staged concert format.
Godspell in Concert opens at Hackney Empire on 4 April 2015. For more information you can visit the official site by clicking here
