ČT (Česká Televize), the national broadcaster for the Czech Republic has selected Ondřej Soukup as the composer of their 2015 entry in the Eurovision Song Contest.
Ondřej Soukup is a well-known music composer in the Czech Republic, having composed pop and rock songs for multiple Czech artists and appeared on the television show Česko hledá SuperStar (The Czech Republic seeks a superstar) from 2004 to 2006. He has also written the soundtracks to many different films, and even written musicals and ballets.
Soukup will compose three songs, and then a special jury at ČT will decide which one they will use, as well as who will sing the chosen song.
This year will be only the fourth time the Czech Republic has taken part in the Eurovision Song Contest, having made their debut in 2007. This will be their first entry since Gipsy.cz performance of Aven romale in 2009.
