The 2009 UK representative Jade Ewen is currently performing on stage in Ben Elton’s musical Tonight’s the night a show featuring songs by Rod Stewart.

5 years on from achieving 5^th place in Moscow, British singer and actress Jade Ewen has been working hard in the showbiz industry.

According to Ewen speaking to This is local London, there are no plans to release any music with the Sugababes.

I think, for now, it is the last of the Sugababes – but you can’t say anything for definite. It’s not like we can’t stand each other, it has just run its course. There was so much drama – the old line-up trying to reform – that the music got lost.– Jade Ewen

Performing in the musical, Tonight’s the night, Ewen has found learning the song by Rod Stewart easy.

They are really easy because you don’t realise how much you know. You subconsciously absorb them because they are in the background of your life, like in adverts. I didn’t even realise how much I knew until we were in rehearsals. – Jade Ewen

After Eurovision nothing has been scary according to the singer.

It is so hard. Even though the songs can be great, it’s political voting. The year I did it, they (the UK team) were really supportive and pulled out all the stops. I was quite lucky. But if you haven’t got that behind you, it is virtually impossible. It is the most nervous I have ever been. Because that was one of my first experiences, it makes everything else seem pretty easy in comparison. – Jade Ewen

Jade Ewen represented the United Kingdom in 2009 with the song It’s my time composed and written by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Diane Warren. Performing 23^rd, Ewen achieved a respectable 5^th place in Moscow giving the UK it’s best results following a poor run in previous years.
