Aarzemnieki, the Latvian representatives at the Eurovision Song Contest 2014, have been embracing the spirit of their entry, Cake to bake, by hitting the kitchen.
The group came together to make the cake, which you can see below, before taking to the streets to share their creation with the Latvian public.
The band Aarzemnieki is made up of Jöran Steinhauer, Guntis Veilands, Katrīna Dinanta and Raitis Vilumovs. After winning Latvia’s Dziesma 2014, they won the right to represent the country at the Eurovision Song Contest this May.
They will be performing their song, Cake to Bake, in the first half of semi-final one on 6 May. The country is looking to end a run of five successive years of failing to reach the final, and in three of those they finished last in their respective semi-finals.
Latvia’s best result is their 1st place at the Eurovision Song Contest 2002, where Marie N won with her song I wanna. This remains their only win in the contest since their debut in 2000.
