The grand final of Melodi Grand Prix 2014 in Norway has just eneded. Carl Espen will represent the Nordic country in Denmark with the song Silent Storm.

Out of 15 songs, only nine had qualified to tonight’s grand final. The winner was decided in two rounds of voting – the first to decide which four songs will go on to the traditional superfinal.

The four superfinalists performed once again and after another voting rounds, the final scoreboard showed that Carl Espen is the winner, and will represent Norway at the second semifinal of the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest, on May 8th.

 


Gil is 23 years old, grew up in Israel and lives in Sweden. He began following the Eurovision Song Contest at the age of five, when the contest was held in Jerusalem in 1999. Gil joined the ESCToday team in March 2008, shortly after co-hosting the Israeli national selection that year.
