CyBC, the Cypriot national broadcaster, has confirmed to ESCToday that Cyprus will compete at the forthcoming 2027 Eurovision Song Contest in Bulgaria.
Thus Cyprus joins the list of countries who have so far confirmed their participation at the 2027 Eurovision Song Contest.
Cyprus is yet to confirm the mechanism it will use to select its Eurovision entry and act. More details regarding the 2027 Cypriot Eurovision project will be unveiled in due time.
Cyprus in Eurovision
Cyprus debuted at the Eurovision Song Contest in 1981 and is yet to win the event. The country achieved its best results in the contest in 2018 when Eleni Foureira placed 2nd in Lisbon with her mega hit ‘Fuego’. The Mediterranean island has partaken in our beloved competition 42 times.
In 2026 Antigoni represented Cyprus at the Eurovision Song Contest with her epic entry ‘Jalla’.
