Laos has officially chosen its debut entry for the Eurovision Song Contest Asia 2026, announcing that Thinla will perform the song ‘BAE’ in Bangkok. The highly anticipated selection took place via the national final, Sieng Lao: The One, which concluded on 24 September 2026.
Thinla was internally selected to represent Laos, and three potential songs, ‘Bae’, ‘Star’, and ‘Water‘, competed for the honour of being the country’s first-ever Eurovision Asia entry. The public, alongside a jury, had their say in determining the winning song, ultimately choosing ‘Bae’.
This marks a historic moment for Laos as it joins the expanding Eurovision family, making its first appearance in the Asian spin-off of the iconic song contest. The inaugural Eurovision Song Contest Asia is scheduled to take place on Saturday, 14 November 2026, in the vibrant city of Bangkok, Thailand.
