With Burgas confirmed as the host city for the Eurovision Song Contest 2027, travel to the Bulgarian Black Sea coast is set to become even more accessible. Discover Airlines is enhancing its flight schedule, adding new direct connections from major German hubs just in time for the grand event.
Fans and delegations planning their trip to the Eurovision Song Contest 2027 in Burgas, Bulgaria, will be pleased to hear about new travel opportunities. Discover Airlines is significantly increasing its flight offerings to Burgas Airport (BOJ), providing more convenient routes from Germany.
Additional flights from Munich are scheduled to commence on May 5, 2027, with services from Frankfurt following shortly after, starting on May 9, 2027. These new connections will allow more international guests to arrive in Burgas ahead of the active summer season and, crucially, in time for the Eurovision festivities.
Burgas was officially announced as the host city for the 71st Eurovision Song Contest, with the Semi-Finals set for May 11 and 13, and the Grand Final on May 15, 2027. The contest will take place at Arena Burgas.
The increased flight capacity from Frankfurt and Munich offers excellent opportunities for onward connections globally, thanks to Discover Airlines‘ integration into the broader Lufthansa Group network. Burgas Airport has previously affirmed its readiness to handle the increased influx of visitors, delegates, and media that a major event like Eurovision demands, boasting the infrastructure and capacity to ensure smooth arrivals and departures.
This development further solidifies Burgas’s position as a capable and welcoming host for Europe’s favourite music competition, promising an accessible and enjoyable experience for all attendees.
Austrian Airlines, Bulgarian Airlines, BH AIR have all boosted and expanded their flights to Burgas for Eurovision 2027.
