BH Air, in cooperation with ICC (International Carrier Consult), is set to significantly expand travel options from Germany to Burgas for the summer of 2027. These new routes will provide German tourists with enhanced accessibility to Bulgaria’s Southern Black Sea coast, coinciding perfectly with a major international event.
Increased Accessibility to the Bulgarian Black Sea Coast
Starting from 9 May to 3 October 2027, BH Air will establish new direct flight connections between several German cities and Burgas Airport. This initiative aims to facilitate travel for German holidaymakers looking to explore Bulgaria’s popular maritime destinations throughout the entire summer season.
The new flight programme includes:
- Hanover (HAJ) to Burgas (BOJ): Three flights per week.
- Dusseldorf (DUS) to Burgas (BOJ): At least two flights per week.
- Leipzig/Halle (LEJ) to Burgas (BOJ): Three flights per week.
These expanded flight options are expected to significantly boost tourism to the region, offering convenient and direct access to Burgas and its surrounding attractions.
Timely Launch for Eurovision 2027 in Burgas
The launch of these new flight routes comes at a particularly opportune moment, as Burgas will host the Eurovision Song Contest 2027. The semi-finals are scheduled for 11 and 13 May, with the Grand Final on 15 May 2027, at Arena Burgas. This prestigious event is set to attract thousands of guests and fans from across Europe and beyond, making enhanced travel connectivity crucial.
Burgas Airport continues its efforts to connect the city with even more international destinations, aiming to provide a wider array of travel choices for visitors in the future.
