United Kingdom: Buck’s Fizz members to unveil Selby recycling campaign results

Two founder members of the iconic Eurovision-winning group Buck’s Fizz are set to participate in a special event in Selby. They will be on hand to reveal the highly anticipated results of a local recycling campaign, bringing a touch of ‘Fizz’ to community efforts.

The United Kingdom’s 1981 Eurovision Song Contest winners, Buck’s Fizz, continue to engage with communities across the nation. This week, two of the group’s founder members are heading to Selby to support a local environmental initiative.

Two of the founder members of Buck’s Fizz Cheryl Baker and Jay Aston now performing with the Fizz are set to grace Selby Abbey come November.

The Fizz consists  of Cheryl Baker, Jay Aston, Nikk Mager and James Pateman.

Known for their unforgettable victory with ‘Making Your Mind Up‘ in Dublin, Buck’s Fizz remains a beloved name in British music history. The group were crowned the winners of the 1981 Eurovision Song Contest in Dublin giving the United Kingdom its 4th Eurovision victory.

Their involvement highlights the importance of celebrity endorsement in local community projects, drawing wider attention to vital campaigns such as recycling.
