Following its selection by Bulgarian National Television and the European Broadcasting Union (EBU), Burgas is now in full swing with preparations to host the 71st Eurovision Song Contest in May 2027.

Preparations in Burgas are advancing rapidly for the upcoming 71st Eurovision Song Contest in May 2027. As part of these comprehensive plans, a test concert is being organised to ensure all technical and logistical aspects are ready for the grand event. Additionally, measures are being put in place to arrange for additional flights to accommodate the influx of fans and delegations expected for the contest.

BNR’s press release reads:

One of the main goals is to complete preparations at the city’s venue, Arena Burgas, by the end of the year so that a test concert can be held to assess internal logistics, acoustics, and other technical parameters in the presence of EBU experts. Organizers are concerned about possible delays in the delivery of the necessary equipment, as most of the facilities, technology, and equipment will be supplied from China

The 2027 Eurovision Song Contest is scheduled to be held on 11,13 and 15 May at Arena Burgas in Burgas, Bulgaria.
