Eurovision 2021 winners Måneskin are set to make a highly anticipated return to the Sanremo Music Festival stage in 2027. Stefano De Martino, the host and artistic director for the 77th edition of the iconic Italian festival, has officially confirmed the band’s reunion as special guests. The announcement has delighted fans, putting an end to speculation surrounding the group’s future after a period of individual projects.
The rock sensation Måneskin, comprising Damiano David, Victoria De Angelis, Thomas Raggi, and Ethan Torchio, will grace the Ariston Theatre once more for Sanremo 2027. This exciting news was revealed by Stefano De Martino in an exclusive interview with Italian magazine TV Sorrisi e Canzoni.
Måneskin’s journey to international stardom famously began at the Sanremo Music Festival in 2021, where they triumphed with their electrifying hit, ‘Zitti e buoni’. Their victory there propelled them to the Eurovision Song Contest 2021 in Rotterdam, where they also clinched the coveted trophy, bringing the contest back to Italy.
Following their Eurovision success, the band embarked on a whirlwind of sold-out concerts and global chart domination. However, recent years saw the members pursuing individual ventures, leading to concerns among fans about a potential permanent hiatus. Damiano David released a solo album, while Victoria De Angelis explored electronic music and DJing, and Thomas Raggi and Ethan Torchio engaged in personal projects.
The first hints of a reunion emerged earlier this year, with television personality Fiorello reportedly hearing confirmation from band members about their plans to return to Sanremo. Now, De Martino’s official statement solidifies their highly anticipated comeback as guests of honour, rather than competitors, at the festival scheduled to run from 16 to 20 February 2027.
Stefano De Martino, who was announced as the artistic director and main host of Sanremo 2027 in March 2026, aims to bring a more international direction to the festival. The presence of Måneskin, along with promises of other international stars, underscores this ambition, ensuring a memorable edition of the prestigious Italian music event.
