Global music icon and former Eurovision winner, Celine Dion, has released her brand new single, ‘Bonjour, Pardon, Merci’. The highly anticipated French-language track marks her second original release of the year and continues her emotional return to music.
Celine Dion’s latest musical offering
Celine Dion, the Canadian superstar who famously won the Eurovision Song Contest for Switzerland in 1988 with ‘Ne partez pas sans moi’, is back with new music. Her latest single, ‘Bonjour, Pardon, Merci’, was released worldwide on 3rd July 2026. This sweeping new track, penned by French composer and singer-songwriter Ycare, explores themes of strength and gratitude.
The song is described as embodying the spirit and transformative power of genuine human connection, delivered with the sincerity that has become a hallmark of Dion’s recent work. An official animated lyric video, created by Chinese Canadian motion artist Yoho Yue, accompanies the release, bringing the song to life through imagery centered on connection, separation, transition, and the continuous flow of human emotion and experience.
‘Bonjour, Pardon, Merci’ follows her earlier 2026 single ‘Dansons’, marking a significant period of new music for the beloved artist. Both tracks are set to be released on a limited-edition 12-inch vinyl EP on September 4th. This release comes as Dion prepares for her much-anticipated return to the stage, with a residency at Plenitude Arena (formerly Paris La Défense Arena) scheduled for September and October 2026, with additional shows added for May 2027 due to overwhelming demand.
Dion’s return to music and the stage follows her 2022 diagnosis with stiff-person syndrome, a rare neurological condition that had previously forced her to pause her touring plans. Her comeback has been met with immense excitement from fans globally, solidifying her status as an untouchable figure in the international music scene.
Celine Dion represented Switzerland at the Eurovision Song Contest 1988 in Dublin with her epic entry ‘Ne Partez Pas Sans Moi’, ending up winning the competition.
